Thanks in advance. The thermostat has nothing to do with cooling once the rated temperature is achieved. I don't ever run a 160 degree thermostat in any of the vehicles I have had. I understand that 160 will help your engine warm up in a cold day, but once you go north of 160 you have effectively no thermostat at all.
