Mast medical term. Sep 12, 2024 · Hi all, I'm in the process of planning to install two Lewmar 16STs on either side of the mast of my PS 34. On my mast support I put a rubber roller, like those used on boat trailers, on the frame at the point where the mast would come down on it. Eliminating the portion of the mast cantilevered above the deck keeps the mast base and king post largely in shear and axial loading, and reduces the thrust resisted by the deck. Does anyone have an experience setting something like this up on a deck-stepped boat? Apr 30, 2016 · The mast of a sailing vessel is a tall spar, or arrangement of spars, erected more or less vertically on the centre-line of a ship or boat. It's a pretty stout mast, but doesn't have any built-in pads/reinforced locations for winch mounting. Jul 1, 2018 · Those of you with experience sailing with in-mast furling systems, what are the pros and cons? Jan 6, 2008 · The runners are attached on both sides of the mast (port and starboard) at the same height where the fractional forestay attaches to the mast. Nov 1, 2013 · The mast will come down on that, resting at a point that is behind the center of gravity. Oct 3, 2013 · Here is the problem though my mast has steps installed and the step cable stays go through the spreaders:cussing: the wife is mad at me because "the expensive survey did not find this". Its purposes include carrying sail, spars, and derricks, and giving necessary height to a navigation light, look-out position, signal yard, control position, radio aerial or signal lamp. When looking I see "mast height" listed in the specs. ppd zbnydlb xdpu konqv fkldrhjx ndxdo jzifv jftkhu led gae
